Success-An unending debate !!!

What is Success ???
It is one of the most talked about term in today's world. When we were born and started going school or came to any other social platform, a pressure to win, win and only win in any case was being put on us. Why ?
When a child goes to school, his parents ask him/her to top the class/school as this is the only key to a safe and secure life and we start following to what they say. So, in this race some of us go ahead, some of us move normally and some stagnate. But, is achieving everything and going ahead in whatever we do, is success and who stagnates is a failure ?
Does a person who attains everything should really always be called as successful ? Does success has nothing to take with happiness, enjoyment, joy, liveliness, love, affection ?
If a person is just able enough to earn for living but having all these attributes in his/her life, will he/she be called as successful ?
Now, what I perceive from the little experience of life that I have, success can not be measured. It has different meanings for different people. For me, getting highest grades may be the criteria for success but for you becoming the cricket captain of the team may seem success. Success is what dreams are made of. Success is about making it in life. Since now a days different material gains have become the measures of success but it is not the true representation of success such as nobody remembers the name of the sports player who has achieved something, everyone remembers the attitude, dedication and spirit of achievement they show. So the attitude makes a difference. An optimistic guy learns something even from worst of his life whereas the pessimist want to forget it as soon as possible.
Even according to the ancient Indian literature, success lies in 4 basic purusharth- dharm, artha, kaam and moksha. So if one does equally well in all aspects of one's life, one is called successful. So the true meaning of Success does not lie in just gaining the material gains but equally giving back to the society and living life in a manner which makes you happy, brings love, peace and joy in the true senses. In gaining all these attributes in life, sometimes we may fail but that is not the end of road to us. We should stand up and start again with because its life- sometimes up and sometimes down. I would like to end this unending explanation by quoting Winston Churchill " Success is going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm".

Just do it Anyway

People are often unreasonable,
irrational, and self-centered.
Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind,
people may accuse you
of selfish, ulterior motives.
Be kind anyway.

If you are successful,
you will win some unfaithful friends
and some genuine enemies.
Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and
sincere people may deceive you.
Be honest and sincere anyway.

What you spend years creating,
others could destroy overnight.
Create anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness,
some may be jealous.
Be happy anyway.

The good you do today,
will often be forgotten.
Do good anyway.

Give the best you have,
and it will never be enough.
Give your best anyway.

In the final analysis,
it is between you and God.
It was never between you and them anyway!

Mind Set: Just Bank on Yourself

Our self worth is based on how we feel about ourselves. It is not about anyone coming to us and telling that you are worthless. Man starts his life with dreams and aspirations. These aspirations and dreams are then converted into efforts which, if put in properly, gives great results and we make something pleasurable out of it. But what if we fail in our efforts??? A whole bunch of people will come and tell you that you are useless, good for nothing, worthless and what not. But this is the time to bank on ourselves. So should we stop dreaming or should we stop putting efforts in? No, we should never underestimate ourselves. It is us who can shake the world. Who is not aware of the ant story that is being taught to us in V standard. Has it been limited to our syllabus books only? That small ant tells us the importance of self worth.
When the man came on this earth, in the early ages, he was having nothing. But he was having dreams, aspirations so he put in efforts and invented fire and made the world we see today by gradual improvisation.
A negative thought just puts you one step away from your goal. So when you are already one step away after being failed, why go further away by bringing negative thoughts in. We all are unique and have different capabilities. It is not always that everyone will succeed in every venture he puts efforts in, but everyone will succeed in at least one venture and this is the venture that we should identify ourselves because no one else knows us better than ourselves. So its high time to turn our mind sets in positive direction, identify our goals and work on them. Tomorrow will be ours. I would like to end it by quoting Swami Vivekanand "Be Strong, You are born to Win".

Girls/Women are really so SPECIAL !!!

On this International Women Day, I would, first of all, like to thank all the girls/women in my life for making it fabulous and fantastic. Really now a days the women have risen a lot and this day reminds us of their power. They are the most mysterious creature in the world. A man can never understand a girl. Though men never admit the importance of girls/women in their life but its these girls who are around us from our birth to the last moments of our life. A girl in form of a mother teaches us to walk and talk. Our first teacher, our mother, who brings us into this world, has been forgotten by many of us when she gets old. I don't know why though she teaches everything, gives you everything she has from feeding you by her breast to protecting you from the world. Then a girl in form of a sister just pours whole affection onto you. Sometimes she gives you her own chocolate, sometimes she doesn't complain of yours to your parents, sometimes she just make you feel happy by her affection. Then a girl comes into the life of a man for whom most of us aspire for, a girlfriend, or sometimes direct entry of wife is also there whose one tight hug gives you the strength to fight the whole world, whose one pain can make your nights sleepless, whose one requirement can empower you to bring moon in her feet. Then a girl comes in form of daughter, whose first words of Papa papa give you the joy of the lifetime. She grows up and when she gets married and goes away its her daddy who weeps the most. In our older days its your better half who doesn't make you feel alone because your children don't left any chance to make you feel alone. So its the girls who are always around a man. They always keep the faith, most trusted creatures on the planet once you are her's. Still we don't understand their importance, neglect them, underestimate them, why? Today sex ratio in India is around 920 women per 1000 men and in some places it goes down to even 860-870 which itself tells the story. There is a need to change the mindset of such people who are responsible for that and nothing but education can serve the purpose. Today in urban India, they are as competent as any other man but in rural India, the story is really pathetic. When a girl is born in a village, she is cursed and even sometimes murdered. Still men treat them as if they have their own right on the girl and use rather exploit her according to their wish. With such happenings going around in all over India, we dream of becoming a developed country in 2020. There are uncountable examples of ladies who have made everything on their own such as Indira Nooyi, Kiran Bedi, Sonia Gandhi, Kalpana Chawla, Chanda Kocher and others but still we treat them like "Pair Ki Jooti". This is ridiculous. We do need to change this. Without them, we even can't think of our existence. It can happen only with education. It is the only tool which can change the mindset of Indian population regarding girls. So, on this day, I would like to conclude that women/girls are our integral part but we still don't understand their importance. We need to consider them equally versed and capable if we want the society to grow and flourish like a blossom in the garden.
